Has Property Launch gone supersonic?

Did you hear it? Two massive bangs on Monday evening that you would have got you sat up in bed wondering if part of your roof had fallen off. People across Yorkshire jumped onto Twitter and Facebook in no time at all to ask what was going on? 

Many people initially thought it was an explosion...tweets came from Doncaster, York, Harrogate and North Leeds.

By 10.15pm North Yorkshire Police had sussed out the source of these massive bangs.

Following the Police tweet, ITV News then jumped into the fray and published an article on their website with a statement from the airport that fighters had been scrambled to escort an Air France airplane to Newcastle Airport.

It is satisfying to know the RAF are there for us all keeping our shores safe.
