Homes from Harry Potter up for sale!
A fan of the Harry Potter series? It’s time to get excited; you currently have the potential to buy not one but two properties used in the films.
First of all, the iconic 4 Privet Drive, home of the Dursley family, where Harry lived in a cupboard under the stairs has gone on the market. The three bedroom link home, in Berkshire, is up for the pricey tag of £475,000. It is a lot more modern than it is depicted in the filmed and while there will be no owl bringing you post, you are a short walk to the commuter train to London Waterloo.
A little larger, and grander, the home of Hermione Granger is also on the market. Up for £2.4 million, the six bedroom, detached home is along an exclusive road in the gorgeous suburb of Hampstead Garden. Within easy reach of numerous amenities and on the Northern Line, the place up for sale with Arlington Residential is, potentially, the perfect family home.
Whilst these are down south, the Harry Potter series does have a strong link to Yorkshire. Gothland train station (transformed to "Hogsmeade") is in the North York Moors National Park - North East of York - and was used in the Philosopher's Stone, while Malham Cove in the Yorkshire Dales played host to Harry and Hermione in The Deathly Hallows. Check them out here.
