Sheffield market springs into action
My last market update for Sheffield discussed how restricted supply was affecting prices in the city. The first two or three months of 2016 have seen a greater number of houses arriving to the market, providing some relief to property-starved buyers and tenants across Sheffield.
Although you would always expect a renewed supply of sales instructions to the market in the New Year, what has been surprising is that many of the new properties arriving to the market are in the upper price brackets normally associated with mid and late summer listings. Any new properties are welcome in this climate and even those with hefty price tags have received plenty of interest and achieved quick sales at great prices.
I have also noticed a significant number of potential buyers looking to make themselves chain-free and keep hold of their current property by ‘letting to buy’. This ever increasingly popular option is one that can offer great benefits when done properly, but can also be fraught with problems for first time landlords.
If letting to buy is something that might interest you, why not look to take advantage of our free advice from local experts. Just give us a call on 0114 3490590 to discuss your situation and how we might be able to help.
