HISTORY

Hunters Bar is named after a toll bar that was on Ecclesall Road until the late 1800s. The gatekeeper lived in a house next to the bar which is still there. Today it is referred to for the busy roundabout in the city at the intersection of Ecclesall Road, Brocco Bank, Sharrow Vale Road and Junction Road.
